Best Ever - Paper Issues with Thermoweb

Hooray for the Red, White and Blue is the new Issue at Paper Issues sponsored by Therm O Web. The design team got to play with the Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foils and they are so fun and easy to use! I have a bunch of ideas of how I want to use the foils.

Therm O Web has foil transfer adhesive to use with the foils. In typical me fashion, I just jumped in and didn't read the instructions for the glue. I ues the foil immediately after applying the glue, and the foil didn't stick fully. After I read the instructions and saw that you need to left the glue dry before you apply the foil, it worked perfectly. It is so cool seeing how easily and well the foil comes off.

I also used the foils to make some medallions that I scattered around the page. I punched the circles out with the white foam adhesive and it was so easy to use since they're double sided. The photo doesn't do them justice, the foil transfers so smoothly.

You have until June 7th to link up your project for the chance to win an amazing selection of Therm O Web products. Check out the Paper Issues blog for all kinds of suggestions for your projects to fit into the theme.

The Therm O Web team is also sharing projects they made with the April swag bag all this week.

hello three - paper issues saturday sketch

How has it been a whole month since I've posted? Our house has been plagued by sickness after sickness since Andy started preschool in January and the few hours of daylight we get each day make it difficult to take photos. Spring is almost here now though and I have quite the stockpile of layouts to photograph and blog. Hopefully you will be seeing a lot more of me here on out.

A new sketch went up on the Paper Issues blog last week. I know I say this for every sketch, but this is my new favourite. I love grids!

Any turned three the end of February and I thought the grid was perfect for a few of my favourite photos from the day.

I have been hoarding those brads from Crate Paper's Party Day line that I used instead of the hearts in the sketch.

The sketch had some arrows in this section, but few things say birthday to me like a garland. I ran three lines of this Dear Lizzy Fifth & Frolic garland instead of the arrows. Those pull apart banners sheets are some of my favourite embellishments of all time.

Chipboard frame from Crate Paper Open Book and the balloon die cut is from Heidi Swapp's September Skies line.

You have until March 20th to link up your projects (as many as you want) to the blog for the chance to win a $10 gift card to the Paper Issues store.

There is also a ton of new product in the Paper Issues shop Maggie Holmes. Crate Paper, Pebbles, Amy Tangerine, Kelly Purkey, and Bella Blvd. Use code 'petitenoonie' to get 20% off your entire order!!!.

coffee addict

I was very excited when Marcy Penner announced she was doing a class on grids through Studio Calico. I just adore her style and couldn't wait for the class to start. I also was really excited that another of my other favourite scrapbookers was contributing to the class.

The first lesson was on basic grids and to keep it simple, I decided to make this layout while keeping in mind the colour scheme for Creative Jumpstart 9. I pulled a bunch of papers from my older Studio Calico kits, a shipping tag and a wood veneer square from Two Peas in a Bucket.

I then added some wood veneer embellishments and an M and asterisks from the same pack of Thickers I used for the title.

Love this font of Thickers and since they're foam, they stick really well.

Tucked a shipping tag and a doily behind my photo, added a paper clip and some black ink splatter and called it done.

I'm already really happy with this class and am looking forward to sitting down this week with the lesson 2 material.

I'm also really happy I've had a chance to participate in the Creative Jumpstarts again. I missed a few, but things have calmed down a bit for me and I just love how much they push me creatively!

the tilt and all is calm all is bright

Today it is old photos, old product, but new layouts. I was in a scrapping frenzy in November and really wanted to use up some older kits I had. The kits and photos are from 2012.

When I was pregnant, Derek and I bought Andy this 'ugly Christmas' shirt on clearance at Target. By the time Christmas came, Andy was almost too chubby to fit into it. The day we decorated the house, we put him in this outfit and set him in the chair for some photos. He tilted his head to the side and this will forever be one of my favourite photos of Andy.

I layered some stickers alone the side of the photo and a shipping and tag and label beneath for some added dimension.

Wood grain Thickers are my favourite. I have many packages in many fonts. They are such a great neutral for a title on any layout. I love that silver doily at the top. It was perfect for a Christmas themed layout.

I made this 8 1/2 x 11 layout about some of my favourite ornaments. A little stitching between the rows is definitely needed!
I backed two of the sqaures with gold POW paper. I just love that stuff. It is the prettiest gold colour.

Thanks for looking and I hope to post the first part of our December album in a few days. I really need to get going on that before I get burned out on Christmas.
