You & Me - Sketchy Saturday

It's time for a new monthly sketch at Paper Issues. This month's sketch is based on a layout Sasha Farina made for October Afternoon.

I love the way Sasha combines square and circle elements in the layout and the way they make a 'ladder'down the page.

I used Crate Paper Craft Market for my take on the sketch. I took inspiration from the ink splatters and sequins and used a polka dot patterned paper for my background.

I pretty much based the entire layout around the two circular die cuts. Once I saw the "you are my happy"and "favourite memories" I knew they would be perfect for this sketch and my two favourite mother's day photos would work really well with them.

I really like the wood veneers that come with this line and that they are either half dippped in paint or gold glitter. I love the Marquee Thickers! They are so fun.

I just adore all the gold foil and glitter in this line. Every once in awhile I think it's too much on one layout and then I come to my senses and remember that you can never have too much gold and glitter.

I definitely need another pack of the die cut ephemera because I used all the die cut flowers on this layout. They were just too pretty not to use.

I used the frames that came with the 12x12 chipboard sticker sheet. I love how there are a bunch that are nested inside one another.

You have until July 3rd to link up your project for the chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Paper Issues shop.

You can also use my code 'petitenoonie' to get 20% off your entire order in the Paper Issues shop! There is new Teresa Collins, Bella Blvd, and Kelly Purkey stamps in the shop!
